Our goal is to extend the life of clothing for as long as possible.  Our [Rescue Boxes](http://thredup.com/rescues) program is one way we save items that don’t qualify for listing on our marketplace, but still have a lot of life left in them. For everything else, we partner with ethical organizations to [reuse or responsibly recycle these items](https://www.thredup.com/cleanout/impact), in a more environmentally friendly way than most donation centers.
