What are the refund options?

ThredUp has three different refund options available:

**\-****ThredUp** **credit:** We'll give you a free return shipping label and your refund will be in non-cashoutable ThredUp credits. These credits cannot be converted or refunded to your original form of payment once the refund is processed. If your refund is not issued automatically when the return is scanned into transit, please wait until the return has been delivered and processed for the credits to be issued.

**\-****Original form of payment with shipping fee:** We'll give you a return shipping label for a fee of $10.99 and you'll receive your refund to your original form of payment. The shipping fee will be deducted from your refund. 

**\-Original form of payment without shipping fee:** You'll be responsible for paying for your own return shipping arrangements and you'll receive your refund to your original form of payment. Please keep your receipt with the tracking number for your records. 

\*Refunds to original form of payment may include any ThredUp credits applied along with other payment used. 

**Restocking Fees:**

While it's costly to put items back online, we want to keep giving you the option to return items. To alleviate these processing costs, returned items are subject to a $3.99 restocking fee.

**Initiating a Return:**

To initiate a return, please visit your [Returns page](https://www.thredup.com/my/returns) and complete the following steps:

\- Select the items you'd like to return  
\- Select the most relevant return reason for each item  
\- Select your preferred refund method   
\- Select Confirm Return

Your return papers will generate on your returns page and will be downloadable for you to print. Please note that we do not offer scannable QR codes to ship your return at this time, you must use a shipping label. Once your return has been received and processed you will see a refund issued to your selected refund. If you've received an item not as described, please follow these instructions.

Pro Tip: If your return label doesn't generate, try refreshing your page! Please note, you cannot access or print from the use of a device and only from the website directly. 

We ask that customers utilize any publicly available printing services to print their necessary return documents. If you don’t have a home or work printer, many of our customers have been able to print at their local FedEx stores or public libraries.

Alternatively, we welcome you to email the PDF of your return papers to a friend and ask them to print it for you.
