## **Great news for Direct Listing sellers: There are currently no seller fees!**

  

While listing and selling items is completely free, you have the option to add these services to make your listings more attractive to buyers:

*   **Shipping Coverage** - Offer convenient shipping options for buyers
*   **Return Protection** - Make your item returnable to ThredUp. As long as your item is received as described, your payout is unaffected by returns.

These optional add-ons can help increase your sales by making buyers feel more comfortable purchasing from you.

  

## How Direct Listings Earnings Work

Listing and selling items through Direct Listings is completely free. As a seller, you receive 100% of the selling price, though your final earnings may be affected by optional add-ons you choose for your listing.

## Optional Deductions

Your earnings may be reduced based on the following optional services you choose to offer:

*   **Seller-covered shipping** - If you choose to cover shipping costs
*   **Seller-covered returns** - If you offer return protection
*   **Seller-covered promotional discounts** - If you allow promotional pricing

## Key Points

*   Direct Listings are free to create and manage
*   You keep 100% of your selling price
*   Optional add-ons are deducted from your final earnings
*   All add-ons are voluntary seller choices

**What is the buyer fee?**  
The buyer fee is a small charge added to purchases to help cover platform costs like Customer Support, new features, and ongoing improvements, since Direct Listings do not include seller fees. It is included as part of the total listing price.  
  
How does it work?  
When you make an offer or complete a purchase, the total (“Buyer Pays”) amount includes the:  

*   Item price
*   Buyer fee
*   Shipping (if not covered by the seller)

**Please note:** Your payout will not post to your account until **4 days** after the package is delivered. However, it can be paid out early if the buyer marks it as received. If there is a delay on the payout posting please check to see if a dispute was opened for the item.
